Stansbury and Corpora Join Tucker Ellis in Employee Benefits and ESOP Practices; Firm Launches ERISA Blog

February 2016

Tucker Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Ronald Stansbury and Corine Corpora have joined the firm as pivotal members of its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation and ESOP practices. Mr. Stansbury and Ms. Corpora will be contributing authors to the firm’s new ERISA Blog, “ERISA Perspectives.” The firm launched its ERISA Litigation practice in 2015.

Mr. Stansbury joins the firm as Senior Counsel. For more than four decades he has represented entities ranging from publicly and privately held corporations to tax-exempt entities – including their boards of directors and trustees and compensation committees – to individual executives and executive teams. He partners with clients to develop and revise executive compensation arrangements and employee benefit plans in multiple situations, including within the context of initial public offerings, mergers, and acquisitions. Mr. Stansbury has been establishing ESOPs and advising ESOP companies and trustees on virtually every sort of ESOP issue for more than 35 years.

Ms. Corpora, Counsel, represents all sizes of privately and publicly held organizations in the manufacturing, healthcare, information, food and beverage, and education industries, among others. She counsels clients with respect to qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, welfare and fringe benefit plans, and executive compensation, as well as incentive and stock-based compensation and rewards programs. She also advises clients on the complex rules governing ESOPs, has successfully defended ESOPs on audit, and currently counsels several ESOP-owned clients.

“Ron and Corine are well known and well regarded in the employee benefits community, and we are delighted to have them join us,” said Michael Harris, partner and chair of the Tucker Ellis Employee Benefits Group. “They are a perfect fit for our growing national practice, and their valuable experience considerably enhances our ability to provide the top-quality service to our clients in these areas.”
