On October 15, Jennifer Mesko moderated a panel at the ABA National Institute on Class Actions 2020. In “The Next Domain: Conscientious Objectors and How to Deal with Them,” the panelists discussed when objections to class-action settlements are in the public interest. They also examined the red flags that encourage public interest organizations and attorneys general to object to class-action settlements, as well as steps that counsel can take to respond to these objections.
