Erica McGregor focuses her practice on estate planning, federal wealth transfer taxation, estate and trust administration, fiduciary income taxation, business succession planning, and charitable planning and annual reporting. She also has experience with real estate matters related to estate and gift planning and estate and trust administration.
Erica is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. She has been named one of The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Trusts and Estates. Ohio Super Lawyers® has named Erica a Rising Star six times.
Erica has been a frequent speaker on estate planning and estate tax related topics, including as a presenter at the Ohio State Bar Association’s 2011 Marvin R. Pliskin Advanced Probate and Estate Planning Seminar in Columbus and twice at the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Estate Planning Institute. Erica has been published in the Probate Law Journal of Ohio.
Erica received her B.A. in political science from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She has served as President of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and serves on the Executive Council for the Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. Erica serves on the Executive Committee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Estate Planning Institute.
In addition to her professional activities and affiliations, Erica, an avid golfer, is a member of the Board of Directors for The First Tee of Cleveland, a youth education organization that teaches core values and life skills through the game of golf. A Michigan native and proud Wolverine, she has also served as President of the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland.
