Peter Voudouris is a veteran trial lawyer who defends clients in pharmaceutical and medical device, medical malpractice, and other health care-related litigation.

Peter represents physicians, nurses, and hospital systems in a multitude of specialties in cases ranging from brain-damaged infants to wrongful death. He defends high-level cases involving opioid overdoses, amputations, and orthopaedic surgeries. For the past decade, Peter has coordinated the identification, retention, and trial presentation of various experts in several metal-on-metal hip litigations both in the United States and abroad. These witnesses have included experts in the fields of orthopaedic surgery, biomechanical engineering, pathology, and infectious disease.

Starting as a first year associate, he has been lead trial counsel in several jury verdicts. Peter has also been involved in defending longshoreman claims of disability and tried a case before The United States Administrative Law Judge. While a law student at Case, Peter worked as the first law clerk at University Hospitals of Cleveland.

Peter has served as adjunct faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Law teaching an advanced medical malpractice course to upper level students and as an instructor for a legal nurse consultant course run by The Ohio State University. Peter has spoken as an invited guest lecturer at the International Law Institute in Kampala, Uganda, teaching courses on alternative dispute resolution and medical malpractice to attorneys throughout Africa. He is a frequent lecturer to hospitals and has spoken nationally at the annual conference of the American Academy of Pain Medicine.

Peter played on both the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams at Trinity College. Married with three boys, he stays active by running the occasional marathon and following his sons’ various high school and college sporting events. His wife, Elizabeth, is a non-profit consultant in Cleveland.
