On April 30, Law360 quoted Tod Northman in its article, “Provisions to Watch in the House’s FAA Reauthorization.” Tod remarked on Senator Bill Shuster’s (R-Pa.) abandonment of a previous effort to overhaul the country’s air traffic control system by transferring its management and operation from the FAA to a separate entity.

“With Chairman Shuster’s retirement, privatization of the air traffic control system is dead for the foreseeable future, Tod commented. “The lasting legacy of the bill is likely to be the mandate for an integrated cyber testbed. The required testing, assessment, and preparation is critical.”
