Cleveland Jewish News Spotlights Tucker Ellis Junior Attorney Corps
January 2017
On January 25, Tucker Ellis Chief Operating Officer Arthur Bernstein was quoted in Cleveland Jewish News on the firm’s process of recruiting and training new lawyers. Art focused on the firm’s extensive summer associate program and the Junior Attorney Corps (JAC), an innovative pilot program designed to give the firm’s first- and second-year associates a more broad-based 24 months of law firm experience.
“When they come to Tucker Ellis, they don’t immediately become a real estate lawyer or a corporate lawyer,” Art said. “The senior lawyers who have projects come to the JAC and say ‘I need help on this,’ and so those young lawyers, those new lawyers, get a chance to try different practice areas before they are placed into a different practice group. … At this particular firm, there’s a strong emphasis on collaboration and culture, so we want to make certain that the person who comes here is going to fit in to that environment.”
