On October 21, Melissa Kelly spoke at a National Business Institute (NBI) seminar, “Mini Law School for HR Professionals,” in Canfield, Ohio. As employment-related litigation continues to grow, the seminar provided attendees a comprehensive primer on labor and employment law to help employers proactively protect themselves from unnecessary risk. Melissa explored successful hiring and recruitment steps, including drafting accurate job descriptions, job applications, background checks, orientation and training, immigration compliance documents, and federal compliance documents.
