On November 13, Jennifer Steinmetz and Monica Monroe were roundtable speakers at Women of the Section of Litigation: Leading, Litigating & Connecting, a conference sponsored by the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation in Chicago, Illinois. Jen discussed “Rising to the Challenge: Dealing with Adversity During Case Work Up and Trial,” providing practical strategies for dealing with difficult situations – including judges, witnesses, opposing counsel, and documents – and  addressing how to maintain perspective and overcome these obstacles throughout the life of a case. In “The Negotiator: Strategies and Perspectives on Case Resolution,” Monica explored negotiation strategies, including possible effects of gender on strategy and success, and practical considerations for clients.
