On September 21, Tom Fawkes presented on the topic of “Understanding a Small Business Reorganization Under New Subchapter V of the Bankruptcy Code” to the National Association of Credit Management (NACM) South Central Staffing Services Industry Credit Group in Atlanta. Tom provided an overview of Subchapter V of the Bankruptcy Code, which was enacted in early 2020 and provides a streamlined process for small business reorganizations.

On September 22, Tom – along with Jason Torf and Brian Jackiw – presented on “Antitrust Considerations for the Credit Department” to the National Association of Credit Management Connect Advertising Media Credit Group. Tom, Jason, and Brian provided an overview of federal antitrust laws, and their impacts on the setting and alteration of credit terms as well as credit professionals’ ability to communicate with competitors.
