On August 3, David Steele, Faustina Lee, and Dina Roumiantseva presented a PLI (Practising Law Institute) program, “Policing Domain Names – Enforcement Options Against Infringing and Malicious Domains.” The program was geared toward in-house attorneys, outside counsel, and industry professionals involved in domain name management and trademark monitoring and enforcement. David, Faustina, and Dina focused on best practices for monitoring domain names, establishing internal protocols and communications for in-house teams, and identifying levels of risk and options for enforcement, including Uniform Domain Name Resolution Policy (UDRP) and other arbitration proceedings, Anticybersquatting Consumer Protection Act (ACPA) litigation, and other options.
