Izaak Horstemeier-Zrnich

Izaak handles multi-faceted disputes involving personal injury, product liability, and business and commercial litigation, as well as international arbitration matters. He is experienced across the full arc of a case, including case assessment and early strategy, written discovery and fact investigation with clients, dispositive and evidentiary motion practice, and post-trial and appellate briefing. Izaak also is part of a Tucker Ellis team that defends a Fortune 300 manufacturer and supplier in state and federal courts across the country.

Known for his exceptional research and writing, Izaak is a go-to drafter of sophisticated briefing at every stage of a dispute. He has drafted briefs at every stage of litigation, from complaints, answers, and dispositive motions through trial briefs, post-trial submissions, and appellate briefing, as well as prehearing and post-hearing submissions in international arbitration. His approach pairs exhaustive research with disciplined, readable writing designed to make a decision-maker’s path to the right result as clear as possible.

Before joining Tucker Ellis, Izaak served as a law clerk for a global leader in the paint and coatings manufacturing industry, advising on commercial contracts, corporate governance, information technology, real estate, and employment matters. That in-house experience informs the practical, business-minded judgment he brings to commercial disputes.

Izaak grew up in the Cleveland area and currently resides in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports, trivia, chess, and exploring all the food the area has to offer.
