V. Sathienmars has been selected as a member of Leadership San Francisco’s (LSF) Flagship Program for the 2026-2027 class year. LSF is a professional development program affiliated with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which is primarily targeted toward San Francisco elected officials, senior public servants, business and corporate leaders, nonprofit executives, and community organizers. LSF transforms its members into “community trustees” who will work together to leverage their lived experiences as San Francisco residents, their professional accomplishments, their social networks, and their history of community engagement toward the continuing economic, cultural, and social development of San Francisco. LSF also maintains an active alumni association, which was founded in 1985 and has nearly 1,500 LSF members.

During the 10-month Flagship Program, V. will participate in monthly conferences to discuss San Francisco civic issues and develop policy solutions in collaboration with high-profile local leaders at venues across the city. The conferences will address issues important to San Francisco, such as government, the environment, housing and homelessness, public safety, arts and culture, transportation, education, economic development, tourism, historical preservation, and community engagement. V.’s subject matter focus will be economic development, and in particular the development of laws, regulations, and policies to encourage economic growth and the reinvestment of its dividends into the community.
