Pamela Granger
Pam Granger is an intellectual property attorney with nearly two decades of experience developing and safeguarding clients’ IP portfolios.
Pam’s practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications with an emphasis on computer-based technologies. She has considerable experience in the areas of machine learning, autonomous navigation, computer imaging and object identification, and user experience. Her patent prosecution experience includes domestic prosecution and foreign prosecution, as well as all phases of Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) (international) applications. Pam is familiar with technologies including electrical systems, computer hardware and software, artificial intelligence, database systems, adaptive optics, magnetic resonance imaging systems, medical devices, and semiconductors.
Pam is known for her collaborative approach with clients and ability to help solve their problems in a complex changing legal and technical landscape. She partners with in-house counsel to build forward-thinking patent prosecution strategies from the ground up. Pam translates cutting-edge technical breakthroughs into tailored patent applications by collaborating directly with inventors, sometimes on test tracks and in laboratories. She then guides these applications through to issuance, working with patent examiners and foreign associates to secure robust global protection aligned with each client’s business goals.
Outside of work, Pam coaches the Flight and Remote Sensing events of Science Olympiad for her local middle school. In Flight, students get the chance to watch their hard work soar when a rubber band-powered aircraft they built with their own hands takes off. In Remote Sensing, students start to learn how big scientific concepts are employed by satellites to track our world from orbit. When school is out of session, Pam can be found road-tripping through the National Parks with her family.
