Tucker Ellis Chicago Team Participates in Cycle for Survival to Benefit Rare Cancer Research
February 6, 2026
On February 5, five members of the Tucker Ellis Chicago office rode in “Cycle for Survival” – the 20th anniversary of the annual event led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). The fundraiser fuels breakthroughs in rare cancer research to bring new and better treatment options to people around the world. This year marks the Chicago office’s eighth year participating in Cycle for Survival.
The 2026 Tucker Ellis team, led by Sherry Knutson, included Greg Abrams, Jen Juarez, Kristy Pluth, and Jay Shultz. As always, the team dedicated their ride to family and friends who are fighting or have fought rare cancers, including Tami Jaskiewicz, their extraordinary secretary who, after a valiant battle with liver cancer, passed away in 2023. As of February 6, our team had raised funds of more than $4,000 with donations continuing to be accepted until April 15.
Sherry said, “I’ve been captaining our Tucker Ellis ride team since 2016. We are passionate about raising funds for MSK’s rare cancer research because of our family and friends who have faced these terrible diseases – some who have met with success and others who sadly have not – and we’re proud to contribute meaningfully to the research necessary to fight these cancers. As Cycle for Survival says: ‘Every person, every ride, and every dollar makes a difference.'”
Since 2007, Cycle for Survival and its founding partner Equinox have raised over $400 million for rare cancer research and trials at MSK. Every dollar raised goes directly into MSK labs, where researchers turn discoveries in the lab into innovative ways to treat rare cancers – from precision therapies to cancer vaccines – and reveal ways to “outsmart” cancer by identifying building blocks and genetic switches to stop the disease in its tracks.
