Tucker Ellis Advises Loan Protector Insurance Services in Acquisition by Brown & Brown

A team of Tucker Ellis attorneys advised Loan Protector Insurance Services - a leader in the lender-placed insurance space for the mortgage-servicing industry - and owners Dennis and Dawn Swit in the acquisition of all of the company's assets by Brown & Brown Inc.

Tucker Ellis attorneys assisting on the deal include mergers and acquisitions counsel Steve Ellis, Chris Hewitt, Jayne Juvan, Peter Igel, Carl Muller, Lex Ehrenschwender, Lauren Lipsyc, Tod Northman, and Corine Corpora and estate planning counsel Susan Racey and Joe Ferraro.

After having announced the deal on March 10, Brown & Brown announced the completion of the acquisition on May 4. The Loan Protector operations will join with Brown & Brown’s subsidiary, Proctor Financial, to operate as Proctor Loan Protector.
