Tucker Ellis Congratulates Real Estate Hall of Fame Inductee Richard Pace

January 2015

Tucker Ellis LLP congratulates our client Richard Pace, president of Cumberland Development, on his induction into the Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. From hundreds of nominations, Midwest Real Estate News selected 70 individuals who have “made an impact in both their professions and their communities.”

A registered architect, Mr. Pace has been instrumental in adding value to underperforming properties through the use of creative and sustainable design, and is a major contributor to the renaissance of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.

In 2014, the City of Cleveland selected Mr. Pace to be the developer for the Cleveland Lakefront project, a $700 million development that will be built in four phases. The project, a joint venture between Cumberland Development and Trammell Crow Company, is situated on 20+ acres north of FirstEnergy Stadium and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. It will include a school, retail, restaurants, office space, and apartments.

Mr. Pace is actively involved in the communities where he lives and works. He is a current trustee of Breakthrough Charter Schools and a past trustee of the Great Lakes Science Center. He is also a member of the City Club of Cleveland Board of Directors.
