On February 14, Scott Stitt argued a breach-of-contract case in the Delaware Supreme Court. The case, on appeal after having been dismissed in May 2023 from the Delaware Chancery Court, involves the vesting of restricted shares of 19 former SeaWorld Corporation executives. Scott argued that the Chancery Court “got it backwards” when it determined that the executives were not entitled to vesting rights due to the fact that the Chancery judge had read their separation and equity agreements in reverse order, and that the executives had a reasonable interpretation of their agreements.
