On May 31, Bloomberg Environment & Energy Report interviewed Joe Koncelik on Ohio H.B. 168, which proposes to grant developers of contaminated sites immunity from state cleanup costs.

Joe commented that “enacting this affirmative defense would give businesses more security when considering investments in Ohio, especially smaller sites with lighter levels of contamination,” adding that “the current ‘gap’ in protection between federal and state cleanup costs acts as a deterrent for Ohio developers.”
