On August 8, Charissa Walker wrapped up her role on the faculty for IADC’s 51st Annual Trial Academy. The week-long program – known as the “Crown Jewel” of the IADC – is one of the oldest and most respected programs for developing defense trial advocacy skills. The week-long intensive workshop blends faculty instruction and demonstration with individual student participation in the setting of a mock trial. It provides students an opportunity to learn by doing, practicing the fundamentals as well as refining techniques and tactics to take their trial skills to the next level. The Trial Academy was held at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.
