On September 22, Tony Petruzzi participated in “AI MythBusters: Separating Fact from Fiction” at the first-ever joint program of The Sedona Conference’s Working Group 1 (Electronic Document Retention and Production) and Working Group 13 (AI and the Law).

The panel of legal and technical experts examined five of the most pervasive myths surrounding AI in legal practice, governance, and compliance. Separating practical reality from science fiction, the discussion provided a clear, grounded understanding of today’s AI landscape and its implications for legal professionals. Each myth was explored alongside foundational legal and technical resources, equipping attendees with practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the issues surrounding AI and the law. An interactive discussion and audience Q&A followed the presentation, giving attendees an opportunity to explore the myths, challenge assumptions, and ask questions.
