On January 12, Tony Petruzzi was a panelist in a webinar on The Sedona Conference “Commentary on the Need for Guidance and Uniformity in Filing ESI and Records under Seal.” The Commentary was developed in an effort to minimize the burden on litigants and courts created by a lack of uniform procedures in U.S. district courts for sealing confidential documents and electronically stored information (ESI). The panelists, who are drafting team members, discussed the commentary and related model rule, presented key takeaways, and sought public feedback and questions on the Commentary.
