On August 18, Sherry Knutson spoke at the 2021 IADC Annual Meeting, held both live in Chicago and virtually on August 15-19. In the “City of Chicago vs. Catherine O’Leary (and Her Cow),” Sherry presented a mock closing argument defending Ms. O’Leary against allegations that she could be held liable for the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, and a co-presenter presented the closing of plaintiff, the City of Chicago. The entertaining presentation concluded with a panel discussion on effective closing arguments.

Chairing the IADC 2021 Annual Meeting CLE Steering Committee was Sandy Wunderlich, who also devised the clever concept for the presentation.
