On October 30, Jayne Juvan was a panelist presenting “So You Would Like to Be on a Nonprofit Board?” at The Union Club of Cleveland. Jayne and her co-panelists – Randell McShepard, Vice President, Public Affairs & Chief Talent Officer, RPM International; Kaye Ridolfi, Vice President of Development, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; and moderator Biz Voudouris, President and CEO of Business Volunteers Unlimited – discussed the role and responsibilities of nonprofit boards and shared their personal experiences in service. In particular, Jayne explained the legal and fiduciary responsibilities of nonprofit board members, key attributes of a high-functioning board, and actions that board members must avoid.
