On March 21, Jayne Juvan and Dorothy Swagler spoke at Business Volunteers Unlimited’s (BVU) Role of the Board seminar. Jayne and Dorothy discussed the legal responsibilities of board members, including duties of care, loyalty, and obedience and participate in a panel discussion of topics such as the role of new board members; strategic planning; development; diversity, equity, and inclusion; financial oversight; and strategic alliances. Jayne also facilitated one of three case study breakout group discussions. The BVU seminar was held at the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis.
