On October 13, Christine Snyder and Ariana Bernard spoke at the Ohio State Bar Association’s 60th Annual Midwest Labor and Employment Law Institute in Columbus. Christine and Ariana explored the rapidly emerging use of AI in the context of employment, including the use of AI in hiring, promotion, and performance assessment, as well as confidentiality and intellectual property concerns associated with the use of AI by employers and employees. They also addressed regulatory issues, including recent efforts to regulate the use of AI in the workplace and predictions of regulatory requirements for the near future.
