Chad Eggspuehler and Joe Morford Participate in Inaugural Moritz New Law Partner Conference
May 22, 2026
On May 20, at the invitation of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and Law Dean Kent Barnett, Chad Eggspuehler and Joe Morford participated in the law school’s inaugural New Law Partner Conference—a full-day CLE event designed to help recent alumni who are senior associates and new law partners to transition to leadership roles in their law firms or corporate lawyer teams.
Following opening remarks on trends in legal education from the Dean, the Conference featured a series of panel discussion workshops on such topics as “Transitioning from Practitioner to Leader,” “Talent Management and Mentorship,” “Developing and Managing Client Relationships,” and “AI and the Legal Industry.” Chad moderated the second panel on mentorship, which featured Janica Pierce Tucker (Partner-in-Charge, Taft, Columbus), Marcy Hingst (Sr. VP & General Counsel, Huntington National Bank), Joe Morford (Tucker Ellis former Managing Partner), and Clinical Professor Larry Inks (The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business). The panel discussed such topics as building a law firm culture, being “present” in the post-COVID workplace, being intentional in bar organization memberships and roles, and demographic trends and the future of inclusion initiatives.
