On May 8, Chelsea Mikula co-presented “DOL Investigations – Lessons Learned” at The ESOP Association’s (TEA) National Conference 2026 in Washington, D.C.  Chelsea and co-presenters Chelsea Ashbrook McCarthy of Holland & Knight and Greg Daugherty of Porter Wright described the process the DOL takes when conducting investigations and the items most likely to trigger them. The speakers discussed managing the scope of document requests, navigating tolling agreements, understanding privilege issues, and how to best answer interview questions. Finally, they shared tips on what not to do through lessons learned.
