Kaitlyn N. Pangburn

Katie Pangburn defends pharmaceutical and medical device clients in product liability litigation.

Katie assists our life sciences litigation teams in the defense of clients in complex multidefendant pharmaceutical litigation in state and federal courts and in multidistrict litigation. She is experienced in conducting legal research and analysis and supports the teams in all aspects of litigation, including motion briefing, discovery, and plaintiff, percipient, company witness, and expert witness depositions.

Katie also is part of a Tucker Ellis team of attorneys that serves as national counsel in motor vehicle accident and premises liability litigation for two Fortune 300 companies. She also works on a team representing personal care and consumer product companies on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation to proactively defend against lawsuits before they reach the courtroom.

During law school, Katie worked as a law clerk at an entertainment law firm, where she researched labor and employment issues in the context of the entertainment industry, evaluated potential client claims, and prepared recommendations on case acceptance. She also worked as a law clerk for an organization that offered free family law assistance and legal education to its clients, providing legal advice and social service referrals under attorney supervision. Rounding out her legal experience, Katie worked as a summer law clerk for a municipal law department, where she prepared and drafted contracts, supported contract negotiations, researched municipal procurement issues, and worked with agencies on pre-litigation dispute resolutions.

Katie enjoys hiking and traveling. Dublin, Ireland and Queenstown, New Zealand are among her favorite travel destinations, and she looks forward to visiting Venice, Italy next. When not traveling, she keeps busy doing logic puzzles, daily crosswords, Sudoku, and yoga.
