C. Joseph Casavecchia

Cleveland, OH | D 216.696.2564 | F 216.592.5009

Joe Casavecchia delivers prompt, practical support to clients across the firm’s spectrum of transactional practices.

Working closely with our real estate attorneys from the beginning of deals through closing, Joe advises on title and survey matters and related commercial leasing issues. He supports our corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and securities attorneys in a variety of ways, from navigating due diligence to providing insight on the latest trends in business law. He also assists our estates, trusts, and probate attorneys in preparing estate tax returns and general probate management. Recognizing that businesspeople need answers promptly when problems arise, Joe makes it a priority to be responsive and candid with clients.

Because it sometimes becomes necessary for clients to take their battles into the courtroom, Joe also maintains a business-centered litigation practice, including motion drafting, fact investigation, and research support.

As student body president at his law school, Joe advocated on behalf of his classmates to the Law School Administration. Mediating between his peers and Administrators gave him a taste of a career in advocacy. Joe’s strong interpersonal skills, his grasp of key issues, and his ability to communicate thoroughly make him a valuable asset to clients.

Joe and his wife Emma spend their free time taking road trips in pursuit of Joe’s goal to visit every county in the United States. Joe always welcomes any opportunity to give clients, coworkers, and friends travel recommendations for their next scenic drive, National Park tour, or relaxing weekend getaway. When not working or traveling, Joe can be found watching the Browns, enjoying one of the Metroparks, or trying to convince his friends to move to Cleveland.
