Anna (Stanton) Nelson

Anna Nelson uses her skills as a registered patent agent to support the nationwide Tucker Ellis Intellectual Property Department.

Anna focuses her practice on patent prosecution and preparation. She has prepared hundreds of office action responses and nearly 100 new patent applications for clients in the semiconductor device, optical device, metallurgical, and mechanical industries. With an undergraduate degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Anna is also knowledgeable about biomaterials, polymers, and composites.

A fourth-year evening law student at CSU College of Law, Anna is first in her class. She is expanding her knowledge in IP law through her coursework in trademarks, copyrights, and business agreements. She has worked with first-year students as a teaching assistant, helping them with legal writing assignments, including memos and motions. While earning her undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University, Anna was a teaching assistant for Leading with Confidence for Women in STEM. In this leadership role, she helped plan and facilitate case studies to teach College of Engineering students how to be allies for minorities in STEM.

Anna is an active member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, increasing her understanding of various topics in IP law and developing her professional skills.

Away from work, Anna enjoys biking, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys relaxing with her husband and two cats, Sam and Honey.
