Tucker Ellis Hosts Job Shadow Day in Los Angeles

December 2018

For the second year in a row, Tucker Ellis partnered with Junior Achievement of Southern California and the Law & Government Academy at Roosevelt High School to host a Job Shadow Day in our Los Angeles Hallway for 13 high school students. The half-day program provided students interested in pursuing a legal career with a firsthand look at the legal industry, including the education and training necessary to work in a law firm and the various paths available to those wishing to pursue such a career. In addition, the students learned about job interview skills and how to prepare for college entrance exams.

Amanda Villalobos and Ndubisi Ezeolu led the program, with Faustina Lee, David Steele, Nuch Trutanich, and Jane Davidson presenting. Brandon Cox participated by videoconference to demonstrate the firm’s technology and interoffice collaboration. Finally, Nick Janizeh and Ed Racek took the students on tours of the office.

The Job Shadow program is part of Tucker Ellis’s award-winning Pipeline Program, intended to increase the percentage of minorities and economically challenged students pursuing a career in law.
