Tony Vacanti Presents NBI Webinar on Land Use and Zoning from Application to Appeal

February 5, 2021

On February 3, Tony Vacanti presented on two topics during a National Business Institute (NBI) webinar, “Land Use and Zoning: From Application to Appeal.” Tony presented two segments on “Applications and Approval Procedures: Variances, Conditional Use Permits and More” and “Challenging or Appealing a Land Use Decision” before a national audience. He discussed the nuances of land use pre-application issues, zoning and site plan applications, rezoning amendments, variances, conditional use permits, and how to protect development interests for litigation. He also walked attendees step by step through the distinctions between quasi-judicial and quasi-legislative land use and zoning decisions, how to appeal such decisions, and the effective use of experts and evidence, in addition to other trial tips and techniques for land use and zoning litigation.
