On September 29, 2016, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a Final Rule that serves as a comprehensive update to requirements for Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities. The Final Rule, to become effective November 28, 2016, will affect over 15,000 LTC facilities in the United States that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
