Mollie Benedict and Sandy Wunderlich Join IADC’s 46th Annual Trial Academy Faculty

August 2018

Mollie Benedict and Sandy Wunderlich were selected as faculty members for the International Association of Defense Counsel’s (IADC) 46th Annual Trial Academy. The seven-day intensive defense trial advocacy training program blended small group faculty instruction and demonstration with individual student participation and realistically simulated the elements and environment surrounding a trial.

Both Mollie and Sandy contributed as members of the plaintiff faculty team. Mollie conducted a mock direct examination of the plaintiff’s neurologist during the faculty demonstrations and taught a section on use of exhibits. Sandy conducted a mock direct examination of the plaintiff’s economist during the faculty demonstrations and co-taught a section on voir dire. Both Mollie and Sandy coached groups of students by providing one-on-one guidance and constructive criticism as the students engaged in demonstrations in two mock trial scenarios.

The Trial Academy was held July 28-August 3 at Stanford Law School in Palo Alto, California.
