Laura Kingsley Hong Named Mass Tort & Product Liability Group Chair

Tucker Ellis is pleased to announce that Laura Kingsley Hong has been named chair of the firm’s Mass Tort & Product Liability Group. With more than 60 attorneys assigned primarily to the group and another 30 devoting a significant portion of their time to it, the Mass Tort & Product Liability Group represents Corporate America in tens of thousands of cases filed in state and federal courts nationwide. The group focuses on the national, regional, and local defense of product liability cases involving a wide variety of industrial, commercial and consumer products, as well as toxic tort cases related to alleged exposure to substances such as asbestos, silica, coal mine dust, benzene, welding fume/manganese, talc, vinyl chloride, lead, formaldehyde, and mold.

With decades of first-chair experience in wrongful death and cancer trials and nearly 20 years’ experience as national counsel, Laura spearheads legislative initiatives and leads strategy for clients. A former law professor of trial tactics, she writes and speaks frequently on topics relating to toxic tort and product liability litigation, as well as equity and inclusion. Laura earned her law degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Law and her undergraduate degree at Oberlin College.
