On May 1, Carter Strang was the featured storyteller at "Cleveland Stories Dinner Parties" at the Music Box Supper Club in Cleveland, Ohio. Carter spoke about the May 4, 1970 Kent State shootings, which marked the first time in U.S. history that anti-war protestors were killed on a U.S. campus. Carter was a student and witness to many of the events surrounding the killing of four and wounding of nine by the Ohio National Guard. His presentation included photos, audio, and the only known video of the shootings. It also featured a discussion of unanswered questions about the shootings and subsequent litigation, including criminal and civil trials held in Cleveland.
