In a prerecorded television interview, Carter Strang spoke with WEWS News 5 "Kaleidoscope" host Leon Bibb about the award-winning Louis Stokes Scholars Program that Carter established in 2012 during his Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association presidency. Stokes Scholars are graduates of the Cleveland or East Cleveland Municipal School District who are interested in becoming lawyers. They receive paid summer legal internships at law firms, courts, and legal nonprofits. Joining Carter was Brandon Brown, a Stokes Scholar at Tucker Ellis and the first Stokes Scholar to graduate from law school. The program will air March 25 at 5:30 a.m.
