Tucker Ellis is proud to announce that Cleveland-Marshall College of Law's Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition (FDMCC) team, coached by Brandon Cox, placed first in the Midwest Region of the National Black Law Students Association (MWBLSA) regional competition. The regional victory clinches the team's spot at the national competition in Houston, to be held March 7-12 during the National Black Law Students Association's (NBLSA) annual convention. The FDMCC national competitors - consisting of the top 18 teams from across the country -  will argue novel and convoluted issues involving the Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments.

This is the third consecutive year that Brandon has coached the team and the third consecutive year the team has advanced to the national competition. The team also won "Best Respondent Brief" for the second consecutive year. For more information on the FDMCC, click here.
