On October 12, Art Mertes acted as both a moderator and a panelist at a Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries (MMBI) event focusing on ethical considerations in M&A transactions. The continuing education program focused on case-study-style hypotheticals developed from real-world M&A transactions and applied legal and ethical principles to provide M&A professionals with tips to help spot, analyze, and manage issues such as client conflicts of interest, duties to principals, ethical requirements, requirements involving outside counsel, and reliance on outside opinions.
