Thomas Coffey Elected to Board of the Cleveland Institute of Music

Thomas W. Coffey was elected as CIM's newest trustee at the Board meeting on October 23 and he serves on CIM's Development Committee. Mr.Coffey is Senior Counsel in the Cleveland Office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP, specializing in bankruptcy reorganization and insolvency. Formerly a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Cincinnati College of Law, he was the recipient of the Adjunct Faculty Teaching Excellence Award in 2001. He received his undergraduate degree in Music from the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music and was a high school band director prior to his legal career. He is a member of the Cleveland Landmarks Commission, the American Federation of Musicians, Local #1 and of the Cincinnati Musicians Association. Additionally, he is an accomplished author on bankruptcy issue and plays string bass.
