Cleveland, Ohio – (January 1, 2009) Rebecca M. Biernat, Matthew R. Cox, and Erica E. McGregor have been named Counsel at Tucker Ellis & West.
Ms. Biernat works in firm’s San Francisco office, where she is a member of the firm’s trial department, practicing in the areas of medical & pharmaceutical liability and mass tort & product liability.
Ms. Biernat earned her J.D. from the University of California, Hasting College of the Law and her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego. Rebecca was named “Legal Services for Children Pro Bono Attorney of the Year” in 2007.
Mr. Cox works in the firm’s Cleveland office, where he is a member of the firm’s business department, focusing primarily on real estate, administrative, & public law and legislative & executive lobbying. He currently serves a client base that includes real estate developers, solar power and other renewable energy companies, charter schools and technology start ups. Matt also serves as a member of the Ohio State Lottery Commission and sits on the board of directors of the United Cerebral Palsy Center of Greater Cleveland and School Choice Ohio.
Mr. Cox received his J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and his B.A. from John Carroll University.
Ms. McGregor works in the firm’s Cleveland office, where she is a member of the business department, practicing extensively in the areas of estate planning, estate & trust administration, and estate & trust litigation. Erica is on the board of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland and serves on the Executive Council for the Estate Planning, Probate & Trust Law Section of the Cleveland Bar Association. She has twice been named an Ohio Super Lawyer - Rising Star by Cincinnati Magazine.
Ms. McGregor received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law and earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan.
