Tucker Ellis Elects Four Attorneys to Partnership

January 2014

Tucker Ellis LLP is pleased to announce that Karl Bekeny, Su-Lyn Combs, Frank Garritano, and Patricia Seifert have been elected to the firm’s partnership.

Mr. Bekeny practices in the firm’s Cleveland office, where he focuses on the areas of commercial litigation, insurance, and product liability defense, including consumer class actions, product liability litigation, warranty litigation, and the defense of manufacturers and suppliers against alleged violations of state and federal consumer protection statutes. He earned his law degree cum laude at the University of Wisconsin Law School. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from the College of Wooster where he was Phi Beta Kappa.

Ms. Combs, in the firm’s Los Angeles office, has more than 15 years of litigation experience in both federal and state courts. Her practice primarily involves the defense of pharmaceutical and medical device companies in mass tort or single-plaintiff product liability actions. She earned her law degree at the University of Denver College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree from California State University, San Bernardino.

Mr. Garritano is located in the firm’s Cleveland office. He is a trial lawyer practicing in the areas of maritime, mass tort, and products liability. He manages and coordinates the defense of mass tort cases both in Ohio and across the country. He also defends manufacturers against product liability claims in courts across the State of Ohio. Mr. Garritano earned his law degree at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago.

Ms. Seifert, also in the Cleveland office, is Chair of the Tucker Ellis Construction Group. She focuses her practice on construction litigation and defect claims, as well as commercial, real estate, and product liability litigation matters. She has tried or arbitrated cases in various states across the country, as well as in the federal courts. She earned her law degree cum laude at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree cum laude from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.
