Robert Hanna Elected President of Women's Center Board
June 2010
Cleveland, Ohio (June 14, 2010) – Robert J. Hanna, a Partner with Tucker Ellis & West LLP, has been unanimously elected President of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland.
Dedicated to providing alcohol and drug abuse treatment for women and families in crisis, it is the philosophy of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Center to make treatment services available to all women, including women deemed medically indigent. With this philosophy, in 2009 the Women’s Center provided $290,000 of non-reimbursable treatment services. The Women’s Center provides behavioral-based treatment and boasts a success rate of 54%, which is well above the national average of 34%.
“By making it possible for women to get the help they need, their lives and the lives of their children and families can be dramatically changed for the better,” said Rob Hanna. “It’s a privilege to be asked to lead an organization that does so much for the people in our community.”
The Women’s Center, whose slogan is “Treating Addiction…Liberating Lives,” is beginning its 25th year of operation. On June 18th, together with WEWS TV5, the Women’s Center will be receiving the Power of Partnership Award for its work with the community and officials concerning the Imperial Avenue tragedy.
