Berglund, Brosamle, Chayet, Fennelly, Garritano, Gutierrez, Newman, & Rutman Promoted to Counsel

Cleveland, Ohio (January 1, 2010) – William H. Berglund, Anthony D. Brosamle, E. Todd Chayet, Patricia A. Fennelly, Frank O. Garritano, Rebecca Winder Gutierrez, Nathan T. Newman, and Rennie C. Rutman have been promoted to Counsel at Tucker Ellis & West.

Mr. Berglund is a member of the trial department in the firm’s Cleveland office, practicing in the area of professional and products liability. Mr. Berglund earned his J.D. from Tulane Law School, where he graduated magna cum laude, and received his B.S. from Syracuse University. Bill is an active member of both the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and The Ohio State Bar Association.

Mr. Brosamle focuses his practice on mass tort, products liability, and commercial litigation in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles and earned his B.A. from California State University, Northridge. Anthony is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is admitted to practice in both federal and state courts in California.

Mr. Chayet focuses his practice extensively in the areas of medical & pharmaceutical litigation and appellate & legal issues in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University, where he graduated cum laude. He received his M.F.A. from the American Conservatory Theater and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley. Todd was identified as a “Rising Star” and as one of the top up-and-coming lawyers in California by Los Angeles Magazine’s Southern California Super Lawyers in 2008 and he has authored a number of published articles.

Ms. Fennelly practices in the firm’s Denver office, where she is a member of the trial department. Her diverse litigation practice in state and federal courts during the last twenty-eight years has included product liability and employment defense work, as well as intellectual property and commercial cases. Patricia served as an Associate Attorney General for the States of Colorado and Missouri, representing state agencies in administrative law matters. Ms. Fennelly graduated, magna cum laude, from Tulane University School of Law, where she earned her J.D. She earned her B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, where she graduated, cum laude.

Mr. Garritano is a member of the firm’s trial department in the Cleveland office, practicing in the areas of maritime, mass tort, and products liability, where he manages and coordinates the defense of mass tort cases both in Ohio and across the United States. Mr. Garritano earned his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and received his B.A. from The University of Chicago.

Ms. Winder Gutierrez focuses her practice on medical & pharmaceutical liability in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Rebecca received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law and earned a B.A. from UCLA.

Mr. Newman focuses his practice on products liability, toxic tort, and business litigation in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University, where he graduated cum laude and received his B.A. from The University of Michigan.

Ms. Rutman practices out of the Cleveland office, where she is a member of the Business Group, working extensively in the areas of estate and business succession planning, probate, estate administration, trust administration, and the interrelated fields of estate, gift, and income taxation. Ms. Rutman graduated cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and earned a B.S. from John Carroll University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Rennie has been deemed a certified specialist in estate planning, trust and probate law by the Ohio State Bar Association. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Lorain County Bar Association, and Case Western Reserve University’s Estate Planning Advisory Council.
