William J. Lutz

William J. Lutz is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. Mr. Lutz practices in the area of insurance coverage, principally focusing on the representation of insurers with claims made under directors and officers liability, professional liability, and fidelity policies. He has acted as defense and coverage counsel to both domestic and international insurers in connection with customer and institutional claims of financial fraud, negligence and breach of fiduciary duty against corporations and financial institutions including commercial, investment and mortgage banks, brokerages and title companies, and attorneys and other professionals. Mr. Lutz has had significant involvement with insurance claims involving the collapse of Enron and WorldCom, the derivative trading losses sustained by Bankers Trust and other companies, the insider-trading losses of Drexel Burnham Lambert and Kidder Peabody, and the Savings & Loan industry crisis.

Mr. Lutz is a member of the State Bars of California and New York and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
