Scott Wilkov is Counsel in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. His practice focuses on mass tort and products liability defense. In this capacity, Scott represents product manufacturers as both national and local counsel in asbestos, silica, coal mine dust and other toxic exposure litigation. Scott is an experienced trial lawyer and highly skilled at managing complex serial litigation. One of Scott’s key contributions in the defense of his clients is his proven ability to identify and develop the most appropriate experts to advance the theories of the defense. Scott has given professional presentations on the defense of asbestos exposure claims arising out of Navy service, hiring the right experts, and compliance with government and industry standards as a defense to products liability claims.
Prior to joining Tucker Ellis & West, Scott was a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force for eleven years. In his final assignment, he was the senior Air Force prosecutor for the Western United States. Through his military service, Scott tried approximately 100 criminal cases in courts throughout the United States. He has been both a prosecutor and public defender in the military, serving as lead counsel on cases as diverse as murder, child sexual abuse, computer crime, and fraud. In one of the most high-profile of Scott's cases, he convicted the first military doctor who refused the anthrax vaccine.
