
Patrick J. Pascarella, former Chief Antitrust Counsel for AT&T, oversees the firm’s antitrust practice, providing counsel and litigation capabilities over a wide range of antitrust and competition law matters. Prior to joining AT&T in 1996, Mr. Pascarella was with the U.S. Department of Justice, Antitrust Division.
Mr. Pascarella’s experience includes the representation of clients in both criminal and civil matters. Some representative cases include Pacific Bell v. linkLine Communications (USSC), Jensen Enterprises v. Oldcastle, and State of New York, et al. v. Microsoft Corporation. He also has developed and implemented pre-merger planning processes for some of the largest mergers in US history.
While at Justice, Mr. Pascarella oversaw merger and non-merger investigations including the investigation of the NASDAQ Market Makers. He also provided competition law and economic support to the Federal Communications Commission.
Mr. Pascarella has counseled and defended clients involved in a broad range of industries including telecommunications, film, newspaper, cement, weapons, pharmaceuticals, insurance, manufacturing, and ice cream.
