Mark F. McCarthy

Mark McCarthy is a Partner in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. He is a trial lawyer and works mainly in the areas of products liability, commercial, medical malpractice and intentional tort defense litigation, although he has tried automobile, insurance coverage, worker’s compensation banking, and consumer law cases. He currently serves as National Coordinating Counsel for several industrial equipment manufacturers in defense of their product liability cases throughout the United States and in structuring and overseeing their risk management programs.

Mark grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where he currently lives with his wife and two children. In the late 1970's, he served as counsel and Assistant to the President for the Cuyahoga County Board of County Commissioners. He has co-authored a Monograph on Ohio Product Liability Law. Since 1985, he has taught as an Adjunct Professor in Trial Tactics at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a frequent instructor and lecturer for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in continuing legal education programs.

Mark has served as the Chairman of Catholic Charities Health and Human Services Corporation and as a Trustee of The Catholic Charities Foundation. He has been active with the Greater Cleveland Growth Association Leadership Cleveland Program. He is a Founder, Trustee and General Counsel of St. Martin de Porres High School and the St. Martin de Porres Corporate Work Study Program and also serves as the Chairman of the Catholic Community Connection Board.
