Lance Wilson

Lance Wilson is a Partner in the San Francisco office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP. He is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on product liability defense. Lance represents manufacturers of aviation engines and aircraft accessories, automotive products, HVAC equipment, welding products, electrical controls, boilers, valves and pumps in asbestos and toxic tort litigation. He also represents manufacturers of pharmaceutical products in complex litigation involving claims of negligence, strict liability, and failure to warn.

Mr. Wilson's aerospace product liability practice forms part of a comprehensive service for the aviation industry, representing manufacturers of aircraft engines, accessories and components. He's had significant success defending aerospace product manufacturers in mass tort cases in state and federal courts and specializes in military contractor immunity defense for clients who supply products to the military. His turbine and steam system practice covers marine and land-based systems including electrical power generating turbines and all aspects of steam systems including boilers, pumps, and valves.

Lance has over ten years of experience in environmental/toxic tort litigation in state and federal courts. He has extensive civil trial experience in product related matters and mass tort litigation for clients in the aviation, automotive and shipbuilding industries. He also successfully represented a local toxic waste hauling company in criminal and contractual matters including litigation involving the spill and clean-up of hazardous waste.

Lance received his law degree from Brigham Young University and his undergraduate degree from California State University at Northridge. He spent the first several years of his law practice as a criminal prosecutor for the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office. He is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. Lance recently presented on the topic of causation exposure thresholds for mesothelioma at the Asbestos Defense Roundtable.
