
Kristen Mayer, Counsel in the Cleveland office of Tucker Ellis & West LLP and Chair of the firm’s Legal Writing Committee, specializes in Multi-District, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and legal analysis and complex brief writing, primarily in the area of products liability, with an emphasis on federal preemption, class certification, and Daubert/Frye issues. Kristen’s practice exposes her to both federal law, and the laws of each of the fifty states, and often takes her to federal and state courts throughout the country. She has particularly enjoyed presenting several in-house legal writing seminars, and co-authoring an Ohio Product Liability Monograph.
Kristen grew up in Hudson, Ohio, where she currently resides. She maintains close ties with both Western Reserve Academy, where she graduated from high school, and The English Speaking Union (“ESU”) – an exchange program between the United States and Great Britain. Through ESU, Kristen had the opportunity to study and reside in Wiltshire, England between her prior career track as a vocal performance artist and her first year of law school at the University of Pittsburgh.
